Our latest investment in UV [ultra violet] colour printing technology enables us to print directly onto products with a flat top manufactured from tin, metal, wood, glass, slate, marble, acrylic, laminated boards, leather, leather pu and some hard plastics.
The UV light dries the specially formulated inks during the printing process - this provides great accuracy and detail since there is no time for the ink to spread [as can be the case with other ink technologies] It's possible for Mecatek to print onto darker background colours by laying down an opaque white ink first, before adding the colour and finally finishing with a gloss varnish. Our UV printing provides increased resistance to fading, thus offering longevity; it is durable - particularly when incorporating the gloss protective varnish and is provides weather resistance.
